Details

The Yamaha DME7 is an open architecture-type digital signal processor, which offers state-of-the-art performance and connectivity, 96 kHz sound quality and support for up to 256 input/output channels.

The DME7 digital signal processor boasts superior processing capacity and supports up to 256 input/output channels. Featuring 96-kHz processing, the DME7 delivers the high-quality sound of Yamaha digital mixers. It is an outstanding processor for both musical expression and sound field generation, giving you the ideal sound whether you are using it for a theatre, concert hall, or a wide range of other venues.

The DME7 hardware provides 64 channels of Dante I/O and matrix mixer as standard, which can be expanded by an additional 64 channels with a DEK-DME7-DX64 expansion kit license. Adding three licenses offers the ability for up to 256×256 channels of Dante I/O and matrix mixer to be handled by a single DME7, allowing you to use it with larger systems. The DME7 is also compatible with ProVisionaire, a software platform that provides full support for the design, control, and management of audio systems. Combining the DME7’s advanced signal processing capacity with ProVisionaire’s wide range of control options allows you to create more complex and flexible audio systems than ever before.

The DME7 is equipped with a wide range of DSP components that are an essential part of designing audio systems. These can be freely selected, connected, and configured, allowing for flexible system construction. Featuring 96-kHz processing, it delivers the high-quality sound of a digital mixer. The DME7 is an outstanding processor for both musical expression and sound field generation, giving you the ideal sound whether you are using it for a theatre, concert hall, or a wide range of other venues.

The Dante I/O and matrix mixer channels of the DME7 can be expanded up to 256 channels in accordance with your needs. Purchase and activate a DEK-DME7-DX64 expansion kit license to use an additional 64 channels on the DME7. Add one license for 128 channels, two for 192 channels, and three for 256 channels of Dante I/O and matrix mixer.

ProVisionaire is a suite of software applications for the design, operation, and management of sound systems built around Yamaha Pro Audio products. Equally suitable for both the entertainment and ProAV markets, Yamaha’s fully-customisable ProVisionaire software lets users create complex, fully-scalable audio systems - from the smallest to the largest - using just one software suite. What’s more, it delivers the ability for them to be operated very easily by anyone - from the most knowledgeable audio engineer to the most inexperienced user - using a tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

The ProVisionaire Design application is ideal for creating DSP configurations and refining other aspects of system design. ProVisionaire Control PLUS provides comprehensive control of completed systems from tablets and other external devices. ProVisionaire Cloud allows efficient management of Yamaha device licenses.

In addition to basic AND/OR logic components, the DME7 is equipped with a wide range of control components such as compare and delay. Combining these features with faders and buttons allows for flexible and complex control of audio equipment. The DME7 also offers extensive, flexible controllability. It can be controlled from ProVisionaire Control and supports control protocols like DCP (Digital Control Panel), GPI, MIDI, and OSC.

The type-C USB to host port on the rear of the product functions as a 96-kHz-compatible 8-channel audio interface. You can use it as an audio input to check your audio system via computer or other device, or to audition internal configurations.

The SD card slot on the front panel allows you to transfer project files and save and export device log files. You can also play MP3 and WAV files stored on the card, and use it to play prerecorded announcements or chimes.
