Yamaha CS-800 Video Collaboration System

Yamaha's CS-800 Video Collaboration System uses newly developed SoundCap Eye™ technology, which locates, exactly, the positions of participants and tracks them while they are moving. It reduces distracting background noise and adjusts the volume accordingly.

This system is ideal for huddle spaces and other work place meetings.

The Yamaha CS-800 comes with the additional benefit of a built in full range speaker.

This video collaboration system uses the positioning data provided from both the voice and camera pickup and with Yamaha’s new SoundCap Eye™ technology pinpoints participant locations to deliver a seamless and immersive tracking experience unlike any other. The 4K camera tracks the participants' physical locations while the Hexa microphone tracks audio source locations to deliver an accurate facial position for a dual and harmonised pickup. By narrowing in on only voices within the camera frame, the CS-800 can better determine the participant's location and block out unwanted background noise in potentially noisy environments like open plan offices etc. The Hexa microphone comprises of 6x MEMS arranged in a hexagonal array that creates a 3 dimensional microphone beam, which more accurately captures words spoken during conversations to reproduce a clearer and more precise sound compared to normal video sound bars.

Yamaha's SoundCap Eye™ incorporates three of Yamaha’s unique technologies, Face Focus Beamforming, Self Silence and Self Volume Balancer. Open work places can be noisy with sounds from colleagues, office equipment and nearby meetings. When having remote conference sessions, your conversation can be disrupted by these noises and the far end participants will have difficulty hearing you clearly. Face Focus Beamforming picks up your conversations while reducing the distracting noise around you. The CS-800 has a built in 4K camera which tracks the faces of participants analysed by AI. It also has Hexa microphone, together with the 4K camera, it allows participants to designate up to 3m as the Face Focus Beamforming coverage area in order to acknowledge the sound from your voice verses unwanted background noise. By harmonising camera and audio up to date technology, the far end participants can hear you loud and clear enabling better communication and ultimately collaboration.

Even within the virtual walls of a conversation in an open workspace, there can be various surrounding noises that can be picked up. Whether it be the ringing of a phone, computer typing or shuffling of papers, sudden noises can be distracting especially to the far end participants. The CS-800 self silence function automatically mutes the microphone when the conference participant is not speaking by using Yamaha's Human Voice Activity Detection (HVAD) technology.

When using video sound bars in open offices the speaker output can sometimes be too quiet or too loud when ambient background noise changes, causing missed information or an inconvenience to the surrounding workers. In some cases, there is also a risk of private information being heard. The CS-800 Self-Volume Balancer function automatically adjusts the volume according to the ambient noise to keep an appropriate speaker volume level at all times. Participants can conduct remote conferences in open spaces without failing to hear conversation, disturbing their surroundings and keeping meeting contents private. The CS-800 Facial-Focus Beamforming function recognises people in the room who are speaking and automatically frames the video signal for remote participants.

The Smart Framing supports 3 modes of Group: Frame all participant, Speaker: Frame main speaker and Individual: Frame specified person user selects.

The Easy Launch feature of this system offers automatic display launch with easy to follow instructions allowing for a quick jump into collaboration sessions. Video, audio or screen sharing starts with one action and is easy and simple to connect with a single USB cable.

The CS-800 recognises users entering the room and can automatically wake up the display via HDMI-CEC. It also displays a guide on the room display explaining how to use the room technology and start a meeting.
