WyreStorm MXV 4K60 4:4:4 HDBaseT 8x8 Matrix Kit With 8 Receivers And Zone Audio De-Embed

The MXV-0808-H2A-KIT combines the high-performance MXV-0808-H2A v3 matrix switcher with a full complement of eight HDBaseT receivers in a single, ready-to-deploy package. Designed for residential and commercial installations where a mix of 4K and 1080p displays is common, the kit bundles six RXV-35-4K standard receivers and two RXV-35-SCL scaling receivers, simplifying procurement and ensuring receiver compatibility from the outset.

The matrix switcher accepts eight HDMI 2.0 sources and distributes signals across eight HDBaseT outputs and four mirrored HDMI outputs, providing simultaneous connectivity for up to twelve displays. HDBaseT outputs support transmission of full 18Gbps HDMI content up to 35m/115ft using WyreStorm's proprietary VLC lossless compression, maintaining complete colour fidelity across all connected zones. Eight Toslink S/PDIF outputs allow audio to be independently de-embedded from any source or output, with support for multichannel formats including Dolby Atmos and DTS-X.

VLC lossless compression is central to the MXV platform: unlike chroma subsampling conversion (CSC), which permanently discards colour data, VLC preserves signal integrity at every stage of distribution. The matrix supports content up to 4K/60 4:4:4, high-framerate HDR including HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision (LLDV), and resolutions from 1080p/120Hz through to 4096x2160 at 60Hz 8-bit. Four mirrored HDMI outputs can be paired with WyreStorm HAOC hybrid optical HDMI cables for zone extension up to 50m/164ft, further expanding installation flexibility.

As a bundled kit, the MXV-0808-H2A-KIT removes the need to source receivers separately and ensures all eight zones are equipped with compatible hardware from day one. The inclusion of two RXV-35-SCL scaling receivers specifically addresses mixed-display environments, automatically downscaling 4K sources to 1080p for screens that require it, whilst the six RXV-35-4K receivers maintain native 4K output across the remaining zones.

Control options include front-panel buttons, IR remote, RS-232, Telnet and the embedded WyreStorm WebUI, which provides source switching, EDID management and installer configuration from any networked device. SmartEDID automatically reads connected display capabilities and selects the highest compatible resolution per source. API-controlled standby mode reduces power consumption by up to 34% during periods of inactivity, and CEC triggering is supported across all 12 display connections without additional cabling.
