The S45-1605P from Simply45 is a single piece unshielded pass through RJ45 modular plug for use with unshielded LAN cables. No load bar required for CAT6 and CAT6a cables. Cap45™ is an isolation cap and bar that snaps onto the front of the pass through RJ45 plug after termination, covering the exposed wire ends.
Cap45® is a must have for all pass through RJ45 modular plugs used in commercial and certified system terminations. With Cap45®, any electrical risks associated with pass through RJ45 modular plug exposed wire ends are now eliminated completely. The GSC-S45-1605P is supplied with 500 connectors and 550 Cap45's.
These connectors provide a 3 prong pin design with 50µ 24ct gold plating. All Simply45's pass through RJ45 modular plugs use only 50µ 24ct gold plated 3 prong pin design instead of a 2 prong design as the 3 prong pin design delivers 3 points of contact with the copper wire conductor. This improves electrical performance and signal integrity. A 3 prong pin also holds stronger onto the wire conductors.
The S45-1605P is ideal for most CAT6 UTP, unshielded twisted pair solid 23 AWG LAN cables with a maximum cable diameter of 7.0mm. This connector works great with stranded unshielded LAN cables such as those used on patch cords or leads. This connector also work with most stranded unshielded CAT5e and CAT6 LAN cables. If the stranded LAN cable has a thicker outer jacket or larger cable OD commonly found on PUR jackets, then the S45-1700 may be the right solution for you.
The S45-1605P features improved cross talk performance with the unique internal design of the pass through RJ45 modular plug, which allows the LAN cable to be inserted further into the RJ45 plug. This reduces the length of untwisted wires improving NEXT performance. The S45-1605P accommodates most CAT6 LAN cables.
