The Sage superbar is specifically designed to avoid the compromises inherent in conventional speaker designs. There are no passive crossover components inside the speaker. Instead, it uses active crossovers, bi amplification and must be used in conjunction with an SC-2/3 System Controller, which profile them with the ability to achieve very dynamic output at even low frequencies without the need for a separate subwoofer.
