This subwoofer is capable of 120dB @ 25Hz and is based on RTL design, which yields an unique combination of high sensitivity, high output and low distortion, resulting is an extraordinary power and punch combined with a remarkable level of quickness, tunefulness and realism.

The SCS-2 freestanding passive subwoofer is nicknamed the “suitcase” subwoofer because of its size. Its unique multi port design allows for flexibility in how the SCS-2's output is ported into the room. The shape of this subwoofer creates opportunities for installation in places where a cube subwoofer would simply not fit or be effective. In taking full advantage of the 17.78cm or 7" dimension, this passive subwoofer can be placed under or behind furniture, such as a sofa or cabinets, to remain out of sight. Never before has a freestanding subwoofer offered such unprecedented installation flexibility.

The woofer design yields an equivalent active cone area of 33.02cm or 13" and is taken directly from the larger S90i in wall subwoofer.
