RTI IEX-IR Ethernet-Enabled Intelligent IR Expansion Module with Four Individually Addressable Infrared Ports

RTI's IEX-IR Intelligent Ethernet Expansion module is equipped with four individually addressable infrared ports, extending IR control directly from an RTI XP series control processor over the LAN. Compact and easy to configure, it solves the challenge of delivering reliable IR control exactly where an installation needs it, without running dedicated cabling back to the rack.

A single Ethernet cable handles power and communication, with 1Gb PoE connectivity and a USB-C programming port for local setup. Configuration can be pre planned through Integration Designer or carried out live via the module's built-in web page, making commissioning straightforward for the installer on site.

Each of the four IR ports uses a standard 3.5mm mono connector, with an output drive of up to 100mA per port and a frequency range of 15kHz to 460kHz, covering the vast majority of IR-controlled equipment. Once connected, the ports become addressable directly from the processor as IR connections, so relays, receivers and AV equipment tucked behind screens, in cabinets or in plant rooms remain fully controllable.

A 0.91" OLED display gives installers immediate visibility of key diagnostic information, including IP and MAC address, without needing to trace connections back to the main control processor, a genuine time-saver during commissioning and any future fault-finding.

Housed in a formed steel enclosure with a black powder coat finish, the IEX-IR mounts via VESA or rack fixings to suit the installation. It is powered from the supplied 12V 2A power supply or PoE, and is backed by RTI's three-year warranty.
