M&K Sound’s C15S -VA500 Blue Edition is a C15S subwoofer designed primarily for the custom installation market and comes packaged with the VA500 Blue Edition Class D subwoofer amplifier. By using these specially tuned and matched components the entire system has been custom designed from the ground up to reproduce the deepest bass notes loud enough to be both heard and felt.
M&K Sound’s C15S Subwoofer
This bundle has been built on the technology of M&K Sound’s X+ Series and V+ Series subwoofers with output power being on a par with the dual 10" X+ subwoofer, without the advantages of the latter’s push pull configuration. It comes in a single driver enclosure. The C15S is designed to enhance both large rooms and bespoke installations.
Designed to be installed behind the screen and is only 298mm deep. The 1" MDP cabinet construction with full centre brace and additional front to back braces for ultra rigid cabinet construction.
This subwoofer comes supplied with brackets for bolting down to the floor for safety, security and increased vibration reduction and includes stacking coupler for stacking multiple subwoofers.
M&K Sound’s VA500 Blue Edition Class D Amplifier
This Blue Edition subwoofer features high efficiency, cool running and low standby voltage consumption. The Class D switch mode power module is designed with reserves which can effortlessly deliver huge amounts of clean power to the C15S Custom Install Subwoofer. The resulting output of the VA500 Blue Edition is heard in its extraordinary and uncompromising handling of the power demanded of it.
M&K Sound’s precisely calibrated dynamic headroom control circuit constantly monitors the signal to prevent audible clipping, while maintaining the full dynamic range of modern digital audio formats.
Stereo inputs and line level passthrough connections provide valuable flexibility for system building and future expansion. For perfect sonic integration with any satellite system, the VA500 incorporates adjustable gain control including a fixed level position for reference set up, continuously variable phase of 0° to 180°, variable crossover frequency of 60Hz to 200Hz and three position room adaptation.
The amp is one standard rack unit high and is supplied with removable handles for mounting in a 19” pro rack and feet for stand alone placement.
