Details

Lutron's RadioRA 3 wireless processor mounting adapters allow the RRKE-PROC3 processor to be fitted in the way that best suits the installation, whether recessed into a ceiling or wall cavity, fixed to an existing junction box, or surface-mounted to a wall or shelf. Available in white, the range gives installers a mounting method to match any construction type or containment already in place.

The L-CMNT-WH recess-mount adapter and L-JMNT-WH junction box mount adapter both fit a standard 83mm to 89mm opening, with a wall or ceiling thickness of 8mm to 30mm. The recess-mount version is fitted directly into a cut opening and is compatible with a 70mm plaster ring, sold separately, for a finished surround. The junction box version instead fits to a standard junction box with a mud ring, making use of containment that is already in place. The L-SMNT-WH shelf-mount adapter requires no cutting at all: it fixes directly to a wall or shelf using two M3 screws, in either a horizontal or vertical orientation.

All three adapters route the processor's RJ45 Ethernet connection internally. The L-SMNT-WH's low profile requires a down-angle Ethernet cable with a maximum clearance height of 31.3mm, such as the cable included with the RRKE-PROC3-KIT1 or the L-POEI-G-BL PoE injector.

The recess-mount and junction box mount adapters are included as standard with the RRKE-PROC3-CW kit. The shelf-mount adapter is sold separately and is not included with either the RRKE-PROC3-KIT1 or RRKE-PROC3-CW kits. For installers working with the RRKE-PROC3-KIT1, all three adapters are available to purchase separately.

Choosing the right adapter comes down to the installation environment: recess-mount for a discreet flush finish in open construction, junction box mount where containment is already provided, and shelf-mount where speed of installation and visibility alongside other equipment matter more than a concealed finish.
