James SA853QT-9 Ultra High Output Small Aperture Speaker With Quadratech Tweeter Design: EACH

James Loudspeaker has raised audio standards with the SA853QT-9 full range, ultra high output Small Aperture Speaker featuring the Quadratech tweeter design. This in ceiling speaker has an 8.5” round or 7” square aperture and is packed with a full 3 way system for deep bass and wide frequency response. A seamless edge detail keeps this speaker looking smart, modern and very discrete. Available with a 7” white round or square grille.

Custom colour grilles are available.

The SA853QT-9 includes a mini 8” PowerPipe subwoofer, 5.25” midrange and Quadratech tweeter in quad array for wide 37Hz to 20kHz response. Having a real subwoofer also allows the system to play at loud levels. Constructed from aircraft grade aluminium and the modular design offers durability and a long life, easy service and high reliability. The SA853QT-9 has a small footprint with a 9” depth and is best suited for in ceiling mounting. It is also bi-amped.

Designed to be installed directly into the sheetrock (plasterboard) of a ceiling. The specially designed mud ring allows you to apply sheetrock mudding material and evenly distribute to fully integrate the sheetrock trim kit. Please see drop down choices.

Designed to solve two installation needs. Firstly, when installing a SA model in a dropped ceiling, it is impossible to provide a clean visual cut in the ceiling board. The retrofit kit provides a 3/8" edge to cover the edge of the ceiling board, covering any rough cut issues. This is very similar to a retrofit speaker that has a flange to cover the cut out edge made in sheetrock (plasterboard). Secondly, the retrofit trim kit can be used to cover any errors made in a solid surface cut out where a wood ceiling panel was not cut exactly or there was tear out and the visual would not be appealing.
