James’ EMB subwoofers represent a culmination of high performance, offering a contemporary feel with an non obtrusive discrete styling. The EMB8 8” subwoofers delivers a patented 6.5” woofer and a pneumatically phase coupled 8” passive radiator, both with aluminium cones and rubber surrounds. They can be tuned to perform all the way down to an impressive 28Hz.
Available in 8Ω and 70V indoor and outdoor marine grade versions.

These passive subwoofer use James’ “Energy Multiplying Bandpass” technology to obtain high output and low distortion from a very compact enclosure. The down firing design provides 4 finished sides for flexibility in room placement. Built from solid aircraft grade aluminium and expertly finished in studio satin black, the craftsmanship of this compact subwoofer means cabinets are eminently solid to eliminate resonance.
Because it is a high power handling passive subwoofer, we recommend pairing it with our M1000 class D amplifier which provides 1000W of clean power and features a full DSP digital processor.
The JAM-EMB-8-DF is the indoor 8 Ohm version.
The JAM-EMB-8-M-DF is the 8Ω marine graded version.
The JAM-EMB8-70-M is an outdoor or marine IP65 rated down firing subwoofer. Being a 70V subwoofer, it can be used in any 70V installation where long speaker lines are required. The standard 70V transformer is 100W.
