The HOODY IS-ENCL Fire / Non-Acoustic Cover is a specialised fire barrier designed to restore the fire-stopping integrity of ceilings compromised by the installation of in-ceiling speakers. Manufactured in Great Britain from a lightweight, flexible material, it fits over IS-6, IS-8 and IS-10 narrow and standard speakers and installs in seconds from either above or below the ceiling, with no ongoing maintenance required. The cover provides up to 90 minutes of fire integrity and is fully compliant with UK/EU Building Regulations Parts B, L, C and E, as well as the 18th Edition IEE Regulations. It is available in Small, Medium and Large sizes, each offered in a Standard or Narrow depth version to suit speaker locations between 295mm and 708mm wide and 96mm to 208mm deep. Ideal for two and three-storey residential installations where ceiling speaker cutouts would otherwise compromise fire separation between floors.
