Bare wire terminations are prone to stray strands bridging adjacent terminals, which can short the amplifier's output stage, and repeated connection and disconnection gradually frays the copper, increasing resistance and degrading signal transfer.

These banana plugs present a fixed, uniform contact surface to the binding post every time, removing the risk of loose strands, reducing oxidation of the exposed copper, and making systems far quicker to service, reconfigure or swap out during commissioning.

Two independently tightened screws clamp the conductor from opposite sides, giving a more even, higher-pressure grip on the wire than a single screw can achieve, which lowers contact resistance and reduces the chance of the wire working loose over time or under vibration.

It also allows for straightforward on-site reassembly. It is simple to undo and retighten the termination as many times as needed during snagging or fault-finding, without needing specialist crimp tools or having to cut back and re-strip the cable.

Supplied in a bag of 40 plugs, with 20 Black and 20 Red hard covers. The covers fit from the front of the plug to enable fitting / removal after the cable has been fixed into the plug.
