Dahua's IPC-HDBW5831EP-ZE 8MP Eco Savvy 3.0 Series Varifocal Dome Camera with PoE/PoE+ offers upgraded H.265 encoding technology and high efficient video compression. Dahua’s Starlight technology mainly corrects images from areas of low illumination and provides clear colourful video. Even in the environment of minimal illumination, the technology can guarantee a good image. This IPC-HDBW5831EP-ZE features an advanced algorithm of Smart (H.265+ and H.264+) auto stream control according to the environment, Dahua's smart encoding technology delivers higher efficiency than H.265 and H.264, producing high quality video and reducing the cost of storage and transmission. It reduces bit rate and storage requirements by up to 70% when compared to standard H.265 video compression.

Also, with Dahua’s Intelligent Video Analysis (IVS), which is built in as a video analytic algorithm and delivers intelligent functions to monitor a scene for Tripwire violations, intrusion detection and abandoned or missing objects. A camera with IVS quickly and accurately responds to monitoring events in a specific area. In addition to scene analytics, the camera supports face detection to quickly capture a face and upload the image to a server.
