Dahua 4MP Wi-Fi 6 Battery Video Doorbell Kit With Wireless Chime and AI Detection

The Dahua VDKB01-BB is a 4MP Wi-Fi 6 battery-powered video doorbell kit, supplied complete with a wireless chime. Combining a 180° fisheye lens with 2K resolution, it delivers comprehensive entrance coverage without blind spots ,making it well suited to residential and light commercial installations where a wired connection is impractical or undesirable.

The doorbell camera features a 1/3.11" CMOS sensor with a maximum resolution of 2048 × 2048 pixels, a fixed 0.98 mm F2.2 lens and a full 180° horizontal and vertical field of view. Day/Night switching is handled automatically via ICR, DWDR ensures balanced exposure in high-contrast scenes, and H.265 encoding keeps storage consumption low. Footage is recorded locally to a microSD card of up to 512 GB capacity, with no cloud subscription required.

Four AI detection modes — Human, Vehicle, Loitering and Package — enable intelligent alerting that reduces false triggers from environmental motion. The built-in microphone and speaker support two-way audio communication directly through the DMSS mobile application, available for Android and iOS. Bluetooth pairing simplifies initial Wi-Fi setup, and the camera is compatible with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks under the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi-Fi 6) standard.

The integrated 10,000 mAh (36 Wh) battery supports extended deployment between charges, with a power saving mode drawing just 0.004 W in standby. For permanent installations where a supply is available, the doorbell can alternatively be powered via USB (5 VDC, 2 A) or a binding post connection (12–24 VDC / 8–24 VAC). The wireless chime operates from a 100–240 V AC mains supply and communicates with the doorbell over 868 MHz with a range of up to 100 m in open space.

Rated IP65 for outdoor installation, the doorbell operates across –20 °C to +50 °C and measures 160 mm × 53 mm × 38.7 mm at a weight of 0.31 kg. Multiple doorbells can link to a single chime, and ringtones and volume are fully customisable. The kit carries CE-LVD, CE-EMC and CE-RED certification, confirming compliance for UK and European deployments, and is available with UK, EU and US plug options.
