 NuVo Release v2.61 with support for new products / E6G upgrade

As a new year arrives, the engineers at NuVo have been working on another  version of  the Configurator / Essentia G configurator. The initial release of this code was intended to provide support for the new  CTP36 colour touchscreen and the MPS4 server which is so long awaited. However after some reports from the field of some Essentia G keypads exhibiting the ‘sleepy keypads’ symptoms this they have tracked down the issue to a 1ms timing fault in some chips and devised a solution which is incorporated in this version.

 

As with all Nuvo firmware issues, the upgrade is optional, but I would recommend that all of your engineers load the new firmware and that you upgrade any Essentias who may have had this issue.

Many of you are already familiar with the power which is offered by the Universal Remotes, with simple programming and a reasonable budget. An MX980 remote offers a full colour remote on a docking cradle, which combined with an MSC400 can control up to 6 RS232 devices, 6 IR devices,  read external sensor data and control relays for screens etc. All of that for under £900 list!

 

If you haven’t had the chance to have a look at it, I can recommend spending some time
on the URC Control Room web site looking at the online tutorials. There are sessions for
all levels of programmer and installer. If you don’t have a login already contact your
account manager or techinfo@habitech.co.uk and we’ll set you up. Try downloading the CCP control program and creating a few systems.
